My deepest sympathies got out to Joan's family. Joan was a kind, caring person and I enjoyed serving with her on the YWCA board of directors years ago.

I was sorry to hear about the passing of Joan. I came to the Beatrice Rural Development office in 1997 not even knowing what the Agency did, and Joan taught me so much, she was definitely a mentor to me. I have been able to take the knowledge I gained while working with her and have been quite successful in my career. I will always remember her and have special appreciation for her in my heart. I'm thinking of Dick and the rest of the family at this difficult time and keeping all in my thoughts and prayers. Take care of each other.
