Deborah A. Hackler

Obituary

Deborah A. Hackler, 63 of Beatrice died Sunday, May 7, 2017 at the Beatrice Community Hospital.  She was born April 3, 1954 at Stow, Norfolk County, England and along with her parents returned to Beatrice in 1955.  She graduated from Beatrice High School in 1972 and worked at the Umphenour’s Super Market until its closing.  She married James Hackler on April 17, 1983 at Centenary United Methodist Church of Beatrice.   She was a stay-at-home mom, raising her two daughters. 

 She was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church and UMW.  She volunteered at the Beatrice Community Hospital Gift Shop and delivered Meals on Wheels.  She enjoyed her grandchildren, cooking and traveling.

 

            Survivors include two daughters, Jessica Lyons and husband Dennis and Maggie Hackler all of Beatrice; four grandchildren, Mason, Chase and Kaylee Lyons and DeLaina Weinman; her mother, Laura Umphenour of Beatrice; one sister, Terri Johnson and husband Tim of Hershey; numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Umphenour; her husband James, who died August 25, 2012

 

            Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, May 12, 2017 at the Centenary United Methodist Church of Beatrice with Rev. Mark Schutt officiating.   A memorial has been established to the family’s choice with Lisa Milke in charge.  There will be no viewing.  The body has been cremated.  Private family burial will be held at Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice.  A guestbook for signatures will be available on Thursday from 8:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. and then at the church one hour preceding the services on Friday.  A guestbook for signatures and messages of condolence is available online at www.foxfuneralhome.net.  Fox Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
